Book Cover Series

Purpose: To demonstrate the balance required when creating unique designs within a visual system.

Assignment: Select five novels that are related conceptually, thematically, politically, etc. Design book covers for the novels that visually express both the individual voice of each novel as well as the conceptual idea that groups the books into a set. Emphasis should be placed on creating a visual system that conveys the common theme, but also allows for a unique design for each cover. The covers must include the book’s title and author.
